yep now your talking................. spoke to matt hope (liverpool offroad president) said to soak track and roll it just after it loses its tackiness no malasses involved until after the roll your correct. and to backup your 50/50 mix of malassis yes he did say to hose 50/50 malassis/water on the jumps and corners but not as much needed on straights sections where track not as prevailent to flogging out to save on malassis. Thats how I do st ives track the only difference is that I constantly soak the track snd aplly malassis every couple of weeks the more u apply it the deeper it gose and holds the track better and u get a blue groove quiker

From what I've seen the Stives track surface is a little like the IMCC surface so might be good Also agree with Aaron that track must me moist at least to be rolled... ideally rotary hoed / moistened and rolled I would think, And lol i hope the surface does try to stick to the roller... that might mean its getting somewhere Dave

Im not a big fan of the rotary hoe it drops the hight of the track and changes the levels to much all I do is water it with sprinklers for two days then roll it on the three days

our clay is really sticky clay when its wet too if u walk on it after its been watered a little it builds up on ur feet so u end up walking on stilts............very sticky.

Might need the big sheets of black plastic trick when rolling Dave Na st ives is the same just need to roll it at the right time If u can walk on it and it dosnt stick to ur shoes then u can start rolling it if it gets to dry just sprinkle some water on it and keep rolling

hey guys, seeing we have a club round next weekend, do you think we should get a working be organized for this weekend? the track has heaps of water on it and could definitely use some love after being torn apart during the proline.

no reason it shouldnt be dry enough to drive on sunday.

I went down Tuesday and the track was damp, but firm, with a couple of small puddles on the front straight. It drove well. I know it rained since then. Main problem for me was the first jump on the second straight, the lower face on the right hand side is a bit wonky, tried to stomp it down, but maybe it needs Keiren's touch.
